Thanks to Fareham Wheelers we now have an additional round of the Wessex Cyclo-Cross League for this season.

It has been known for some time that Fareham Wheelers were trying to put on an event, but we can now confirm it will go ahead on Sunday January 5th at Fairthorne Manor, Botley, Southampton. SO30 2GH. Course on the A3051 about half a mile east of Botley.

The course looks good fun with grassland, woodland and some tarmac.  There will be a clubhouse open for food, teas, coffees and for those who feel like it, licensed drinks. There will also be showers and changing facilities.

For those of you who have never raced a cyclo-cross in January now is a chance to find out what it’s like, for those of you racing the National Championships a week later you now have a race to fine tune before the big day.

So don’t hang your wheels up staright after Christmas add another week to your season, we adeed a week at thestart of the season witht the new Newbury RC event now extended by a week.
