World Cyclo-Cross Championships Bieles, Luxembourg 2017

27th – 30th January 2017

Mark Chick has arranged a coach trip to the above event after the success of last year’s trip.

Over the Saturday and Sunday five championship races take place, each awarding their own rainbow jersey.

The coach will depart from Swindon early morning on Friday 27th January between 06.00 and 06.30 and will travel via the Channel Tunnel (to save time and avoid any delays due to bad weather). The coach is air-conditioned with an on-board toilet and DVD player. Pick up points along the way are to be agreed. Feel free to request one. For example, last year we picked up at Chieveley Services (M4), Reading, and several service stations on the M20.

Three nights on a bed and breakfast basis at the Best Western Hotel Arlux in Arlon, Belgium, in mainly twin bedded rooms. Some double rooms are available. The hotel is about 20 miles from the race venue, which is just over the border in Luxembourg.

Returning Monday 30th January, arriving in Swindon in the evening.

Trip includes:

• Coach travel from Swindon to Arlon, including agreed pick-up points on the way
• Three nights bed & breakfast;
• Coach travel from the hotel to Bieles, Luxembourg, and back on Saturday and Sunday;
• Return coach travel to Swindon, including a hypermarket stop, time permitting.

Race entry tickets are purchased separately. As are beers and frites.

The final price per person will depend on the final number of passengers going on the trip, as follows:

Minimum 25 persons: £279

Minimum 30 persons: £254

Minimum 35 persons: £235

Minimum 40 persons: £225

If you wish to book a place, I have to ask that you do so on the understanding the final price may be up to £279 per person. I hope it proves to be less.

I will advise the total price by the end of November when the balance for the trip falls due. If the price falls after final balances have been paid, as was the case in January 2016 when we went to Zolder, I will refund the difference.

Single rooms are available at an additional supplement of £55.

Children are very welcome to come along and enjoy the trip. Any persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
