The Integrated Seat Post has been trimmed a little, but the bike with fit a rider up to 6’1″. I’m 6’0 exactly in socks and it’s a great fit. I am also supplying a short & long Ritchey WCS stubby seat post.

Lubrication is with proper grease.

The bike has been stored hanging in a bike cradle from the top tube, indoors not outside so the frame has had no opportunity to absorb water.

General notes:

The 2009 Scott Addict CX RC is an addition to the Scott Cyclocross range, was new for 2009. It is 200 to 250 gms lighter than any other cyclocross frame, thats even with the integrated seatpost.

This is a superb bike & rides better on-road than the likes of Specialized Tarmacs & Trek Madones, but has the advantage of being able to put cyclocross wheels in and off you go, cross country or along the towpaths. I have built it into a superlight sub 14lb bike. I have used it on road only and wanted to use it only on road as I tend to ride the narrow lanes and occasionally have found myself having to bale out onto the side to get out of harms way whilst out on my off road hard tail. At 51 and with my injury I must now consider something tamer and certainly have not been fit enough to ride this machine off road cyclocross.

Like the other bikes in the Scott Cyclocross range, it has a new sloped geometry (race proven by Swisspower and Frischi) with steeper head angle for quicker handling. The new design addresses the important details, like the cable stoppers are well arranged so that the rider does not feel any friction when carrying the bike, and the tyre clearance is set so that in muddy conditions the bike doesn’t get too heavy when dirt accumulates on the frame.

Mud, rain and freakishly cold weather? Sounds like ideal conditions for tearing it up on a bike built around Scott’s Addict CX RC Frameset! This awesome cross platform boasts a world-class carbon frame with an integrated seatmast for a premium blend of lightness, pedaling efficiency and brilliant handling, perfect for race-day domination. Plus, you get Ritchey’s WCS CX carbon fork for superb steering precision and vibration damping.

This frame is quite possibly the best cyclocross frame set that money can buy. When built up with lightweight wheels and SRAM Red groupset this bike actually weighs less than the UCI’s 6.8kg rule. For a bike that’s designed to be ridden offroad! This is a fantastic frame, well renowned for both it’s fantastic weight and it’s awesome stiffness. If you’re looking to stand on the podium of the next CX races you enter, this is the frame that will take you there!

The frame comes with the BB already faced for external BBs, the headset has been reamed for perfect headset accuracy and is perfect showroom condition apart from one small chip on the toptube (unfortunately the frame arrived to us like that!) and does come with a full Scott warranty as we are registered Scott dealers.

This frame alone had a retail value of £2499.00
