The Wessex League Round 3 will be hosted on the Isle of Wight this year. The cyclo-cross race is part of a series of cycling events in the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival. The cyclo-cross race takes place on the Saturday and on the Sunday is the Cycle The Wight Sportive, a 70 mile or 50 mile ride around the island. The sportive makes an excellent endurance ride so make the most of it and come to the island for the weekend. In addition there is a 14 mile off-road night ride on the Friday evening. For next season we have had an offer to put on aWessex League event on the Isle of Wight, hopefully this will be early season. Before the organising team start work etc they would like to see how many of you would be willing to travel over. They have already asked this question on the Wessex Facebook and have had a positive reply. Some people have expressed a preference for the event to be on a Saturday so they can make a weekend of it and do a ride or just holiday type things on the Sunday.
