Counting Events

The number of counting events for the Wessex 2018/2019 League is 10

This is calculated from the 15 (including Regional Championships) event shown on the Wessex website divided by 2 = 7½, rounded up to 8, plus 2 = 10 Counting Events.

For Junior and Youth riders the number of counting events for the Wessex 2018/2019 League is 8

This is calculated from the 15 (including Regional Championships) event shown on the Wessex website less those clashing with National Trophy Events, which is 4, less a further 3 events = 8 Counting Events.

Under 8, 10 & 12 riders

A “Wessex League Competitors Medal” will be awarded to all boys and girls who compete in 5 or more U10 or U12 races over the season (please see bottom of page for participation tables).

A “Wessex League Gold Medal” will be awarded to one boy and one girl, or as decided by the U12 youth panel, in each age group, U8, U10 and U12 judged by the youth panel to best reflect the spirit of Cyclocross, including but not limited to determination, performance, enjoyment, sportsmanship and any factors the panel wish to consider. Performance shall have no more weight than other factors.
